Happy hour

Jack, Toby, Maia and Brad were equally excited about the beer and apple juice at Laurelwood.

First haircut

Two and a quarter years later... Brad and I finally cut Maia's hair. We took turns in the backyard and are pretty proud of our scissors handling.

Ladder pose

We enjoyed a sunny afternoon at Aunt Lisa's.

Summer has arrived!

After a night at Todd and Jessy's woodshop Brad pulled into the drive with a picnic table strapped to the car. We almost woke Maia up to show it to her but decided to wait until morning. She and Horton were thrilled and have already booked several daytime picnics.

Port activity

Maia loved watching the float planes take off and land on our last morning in Vancouver BC.

BC Park

Apparently they make the slides a little wider in Canada. Each ride requires a swinging start.

The torch of spring

Maia sweated out her favorite meal to date: shrimp spring rolls.

Priorities

Maia was more interested in picking paint off the wooden railings around the water features in Vancouver's Chinese Garden than learning about the meticulous placement of each stone and tile.

Aquabus

Brad and Maia enjoy a ride on a Vancouver Aquabus.

I'd also like a heat lamp

A little rain didn't keep our girl from seeing Vancouver BC. A man in the elevator took one look at her and then turned to us and asked, "First born?"

Calypso lives

Watching Maia fall in love with the dolphins at the Vancouver BC Aquarium made my day, ok year.

Goodnight heels

When I told her that I have no occasion to wear heels, Maia slipped on a pair and let me know that heels do not require a special event. Sometimes they're the perfect accent to a pair of pj's and Camper Bob (see toy peaking out the top of her shirt).

Spa girls

Maia and Lily warmed up in the sauna after a chilly pool party at Maia's grandparents house.
