More Fair

Derek, Carol and I tried the big swings which made Maia game to tackle the kid version.

Clark County Fair

We started off petting animals and then made our way to the rides. Maia was thrilled to be tall enough for the big slide.

Brad's canoeing and camping weekend part II

Postcard sunset followed by a pristine morning. Brad and Jack thoroughly explored the clear water of Sparks Lake.

Brad's canoeing and camping weekend part I

Luckily Brad's weather was much better for his canoeing and camping adventure at Sparks Lake in Central Oregon with Jack. Check out that unbelievable campsite!

Oregon Coast

The tiny dot at the water's edge carrying two pails is my dad, also known as a good sport. He dutifully trekked back and forth to the ocean so Maia could have enough water for her castle.

Summer at the Oregon Coast

The girls and I spent a weekend at the coast with my parents. It was technically July but the sun didn't show up for a single minute. Even though we had winter clothes on we still enjoyed playing in the sand.

Mississippi Street Fair: A Success Story

The competition didn't stand a chance. Our little cat won her first ever cake walk.

Black Butte Part II

Black Butte Part I

We enjoyed a weekend at Black Butte with my parents. Things started off with a bang when Maia decided to blow bubbles with dirt rather than the conventional glycerin mix.

Block party

Our annual block party started off with Sharky the sprinkler and transitioned to water balloons and fireworks. Josie seemed dubious but the other kids were thrilled.

4th of July Kid Parade

The festive morning started with Maia decorating her wagon in her nightgown. Strawberry Shortcake entertained Josie while Maia put her Hawaiian dress on for the event. The parade was a huge hit: frozen treats and neighbors Noah and Leo were Maia's favorite parts.
